TENNIS PLAYERS OR PADDLE BALL PLAYERS

We have a new sport to play in the winter- PICKLE-BALL.

It is currently being offered at the Glenwood Rec Center on Tuesday's from 9 to 11am. A Rec Center membership or daily punch pass is required to participate.

The court dimensions are the same size as a doubles badminton court, and has been set up in the basketball area at the rec center.

The game is played with wooden paddles and a wiffle ball with rules similar to tennis. The net is similar to a tennis net. Paddles and balls are supplied by the rec center.

Come out and try this fun new sport. Call John Wilsky at 984-0469 if you have any questions.

JOIN OTHER 100 CLUBBERS AS A MENTOR!

The Pre-Collegiate Program of the Roaring Fork School District needs volunteers. The program mentors students 7th - 12th grade who are interested in continuing their education beyond high school, and who will be the first generation in their family to attend college. The program uses mentors to guide students on their journey as college-bound students to help make their goals and dreams come true. All mentors must have college degrees and college-related experiences. They should also have interest in working with students in middle and/or high school.

The program is committed to providing mentors with training and support. Anyone interested in more information about the program and volunteer mentor opportunities should contact Leslie Emerson, the program director, at 970-384-5967.
